Keeping track of twins stuff

November 16, 2009

Keeping track of two kids is not just double the work of watching one. For some reason having two kids seems to multiply the workload by 250%. It’s like they feed off each other and make life much more difficult, but also a lot more fun.

Transporting them is one important factor. A good stroller is quite critical. You have several choices including big bulky transport systems and also lightweight strollers. If you have super small infants you’ll want something that holds the carseat because those little babies are hard to handle and you’ll want to move them around as little as possible.

When we were considering which one to buy we looked at several of the Maclaren double stroller options available. You have to see them in person if possible and try them out to see which one fits your height the best. If it’s too short for your frame you’ll get a wicked backache when you push it.

Handling twins means two of everything. Twice the work, twice the stuff, twice the expenses and 1/2 as much sleep. But you also get twice the fun, twice the smiles and twice the squeals of glee. Babies are so cute and cuddly and with two there always one to be held. If there are two then each grandparent gets to hold one.

When my son was born he had a cousin born about the same time. Family gatherings were always a joy because of the two babies. But we had the advantage of having two full sets of parents, too, so there were four adults to handle two infants. It makes a difference.
